Cordova’s community theater was officially established by Bonnie Honkola who named and founded Stage of the Tide in 1986. Producing everything from dinner theater to musicals, Stage of the Tide has presented shows all over Cordova from the Black Sheep to Mt Eccles Elementary, to the Masonic Hall, as well taking shows on the ferry to Valdez. Now housed in the Cordova Center, Stage of the Tide prides itself on community involvement from all generations and the enthusiasm of Cordova’s theater goers.
